soaps and lotions

Our All Things Natural soaps and lotions are made with essential oils unless otherwise stated.  We make our soaps in small batches for a consistent and quality bar. Many of our soaps are hand cut so the exact size and weight will vary from bar to bar, but our soaps average between 2.5 and 3 ounces.

Vegetable soaps: Any of these soaps can be made in a personalized batch using only vegetable oils, water and the alkali, thereby making itself suitable for vegans and others who do not wish to use animal products. Please contact me if you wish an animal-product free soap and I’d be glad to accommodate you.  Extra processing time may apply as each batch would have to be made for the individual requesting it.

Unless stated below, all soaps are made with tallow (beef fat - home-rendered from our properly raised calves), coconut oil, olive oil, goat’s milk, and alkali.  Additional ingredients that make each soap unique are explained below. Please keep in mind that, unlike fragrant oils that stay on your skin after you shower, essential oils are washed off with the soap, leaving you feeling clean without the residues of unnatural chemicals. If you are looking for a medicinal answer to a skin problem, soap is not the best answer.  The medicinal properties of the oils and herbs described below are best used in other forms for the desired effect.  Please consult your alternative medical provider for more information.

Tea Tree:  an antiseptic oil that is excellent for acne and other skin blemishes.
Bergamot (citrus bergamia): Derived from the peel of the fruit, this is the same herb that gives Earl Grey Tea its unique flavor and aroma is included in this soap.  Bergamot has been known to be soothing and healing and good for a variety of skin complaints.
Chamomile: German chamomile is mildly sedative, antiseptic and soothing for skin complaints.
Rosemary Bay:  I call this one my “chicken soup” soap.  Men tend to like this one - the bay leaves crushed in the soap give it a scrubby and exfoliating quality. Rosemary, when used internally) is known to improve digestion, help with arthritis and circulatory problems.  This may be why it has become a very popular culinary herb!
Oatmeal milk and honey: Combines the exfoliating quality of real oatmeal with the humectant properties of goat’s milk and honey; the sweet caramel scent is one of my favorites!
Cedar Chest:  This is our “guy soap”. Real cedarwood essential oil gives the scent and red sandalwood powder (also known as saunders and not to be confused with the endangered tree!) offers its color and mild scrubbiness.
Egg Nog: Nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon oils bring their warm scents to this home-coming soap.  Combined with the goat’s milk it reminded me so much of egg nog that I had to name my soap after the popular holiday drink. Please note that while most people do not have a problem with it, cinnamon can be irritating to very sensitive skin.  If you notice any irritation, discontinue use immediately.
Lavender: antiseptic, sedative.  This herb is known for its aromatherapy uses to soothe and sedate from its fragrance alone and is readily found in soaps. Its very name was derived from the Latin lavare, meaning “to wash”.
Plain:  Our plain soap is exactly that. It consists of no added ingredients and is just plain goat’s milk soap.  This one is recommended for those with allergies or extremely sensitive skin.

Lotions contains: Water, vitis vinifera (grape) seed oil, prunes armeiaca (apricot) kernel oil, glycerine, emulsifying wax, stearic acid, propylene glycol, diazolininyl urea, methylparaben, propylparaben, tocopherol (vitamin E), and essential oil

Lotion Bar contains: vitis vinifera (grape) seed oil, cera alba, butyrospermum parkii (shea butter) fruit, essential oils, and tocopherol (vitamin E)
