Landowner’s responsibilities:

Sign a written agreement/contract that will limit the liability of both the beekeeper and the landowner.
To communicate with the beekeeper any concerns, questions or problems not already outlined and in the contract that may occur.
To help provide a suitable location for the colony to be placed so it will not become a nuisance to the landowner or others in the vicinity.
Allow access for beekeeper to the area where the colony will be located.
Not to use any insecticide or pesticides near the colony without first notifying the beekeeper so that the colony can be adequately be protected.
To notify the beekeeper immediately if the colony has been damaged, vandalized, goes missing, is attacked by animals, or any other problems that occur.
